Professional stages & responsibilities
"Creating digital infrastructures..."
How did I end up at NISSIN? At the end of 1992, the company was looking for a customs specialist. I was a qualified forwarding agent with four years of experience in the area of customs clearance, so I started working in the NISSIN warehouse office in Neuss in January 1993. After only a short time, I began managing various customs procedures for the locations in Düsseldorf, Kelsterbach, and Hamburg. Since 1993, I have been authorized as a tax agent. For more than 25 years, I have been involved in various IT projects in the areas of customs, warehousing, and transport on behalf of NISSIN. I have helped introduce and expand a Warehouse Management System (WMS) in Germany, France, Spain, Austria, Great Britain, Poland, and the Netherlands. Since 2004, I have also been committed to the Europe-wide integration of SCOPE, a software for international freight management. Furthermore, my responsibilities include compliance management for ISO 9001, AEO, and GDP certifications and user support and training for various software applications.

"Initiating and advancing projects..."
I really appreciate the diverse challenges at NISSIN. Working on the introduction of two software applications and other cross-sectional tasks has given me a very good overview of the scope of NISSIN across various locations. I am, therefore, always in demand when it comes to new projects, and I am able to contribute my ideas and experience and make a real difference as a project manager. I am able to answer the important questions. Where are the points of contact? How can the English benefit from the Spanish? What should be considered when dealing with sea freight? I also like implementing warehousing logistics at new locations like a pioneer, which I had the opportunity to in Rugby (UK) in 2007, in Torun (PL) in 2008, and in Tilburg (NL) in 2018. At NISSIN, I can also prove myself in completely new areas, such as in 2002/2003 when the new warehouse was being built in Neuss and I was able to work in the area of controlling and coordinate the warehouse equipment. That level of involvement gives me a great deal of motivation.
